Teri Scheinzeit was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor at the age of six. Back in 1960, curing cancer was only a dream. Luckily, she was the patient of Dr. Sidney Farber, a leading pioneer in the treatment of pediatric cancer, and now leads a fabulous, full life. A NYC singer-songwriter, Teri has earned critical acclaim and delighted long time fans. Teri has found what all songwriters seek—taking the very personal and making it universal. Her folk-pop CD, This Time, has been called "thoughtful, provocative, hopeful" and "wicked good!"
Teri is a firm believer in the healing power in music. She has performed for AIDS and cancer patients through Hearts & Voices, The Ronald McDonald House and Gilda's Club. She was a co-founder of AppleJam, a New York City concert series benefiting local charities. Teri is also a professional speaker, leading motivational workshops and seminars.
