Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist John Schrader is fast on his way to becoming a force in the forefront of today's rock scene, writing all his material and playing all of the instruments on his three albums. Raised two hours north of New York City in Kingston, NY, John learned the art of songwriting—the kind that can only be learned the hard way, born of living in a small town with minimal opportunity. Having lost his father to cancer at age 9, John would be tested again at age 21 when diagnosed with testicular cancer.
More than Eighteen years later, John's slice-of-life catalog paints a tug-of-war picture of someone bursting to get out yet hanging on to all that made him who he is. Having worked in film and audio production, and teaching at the State University of New York at New Paltz, John has played with some of the best in the business, leaving his mark at clubs up and down the East Coast.
