YOUNG ADULT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

The i[2]y Young Adult Leadership Council (YALC) is an all-volunteer brigade of authority-questioning, diffident-yet-committed, sardonic-yet-cromulent, and sarcastic-though-possibly-Canadian (no offense Canadians) young adults affected by cancer who totally dig what we're up to and are up to the challenge of doing our evil bidding at a moment's notice. (Relax, we're kidding!) (No, we're not!.) What's that? "How can I join such a prestigious body?", you say?

Visit the YALC homepage.

Ali Ansary, Chair[email] [linkedin]

Ali Ansary is a future physician and proud advocate of adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivorship advocacy and awareness. As he works closely with many AYA survivors and continues various research studies on the AYA population, Ali is a part of a larger group of members who are currently helping shed light on a group that has fallen through the cracks of medicine. He is committed to improving quality of care for cancer survivors and more generally, increasing access to quality comprehensive health care for all underserved populations. Ali holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and is the Director of the National Melanoma Awareness Project. His motivation and passion are rooted through the strength, creativity and passion of every young survivor he meets.
